Release latch on the A1932 for fan disconnection ...

A1932. The ZIF connection to the fan does not have a release latch mechanism. Trying to remove the logic board to change the trackpad and keyboard tape. All of the other connections and screws remove easily. Suspect another screw below the connection but fan connection isn't moving. Suggestions? Is it a push motion forward. There is a lever that raises up and also down on the fan connection. This connection is different than what I see in IFIXIT photographs.

Are you sure the latch is missing? If it is you’ll need a new one. In any case the ribbon cable should still be removable if pulled gently out of the slot evenly and squarely. If not then someone may have used glue if you are sure you hadn’t lost the latch your self.

To replace the latch you’ll need to get a replacement connector to then transfer the latch to the one already present.
