Replaced LVDS cable; no video

Hello everyone,

I recently replaced the LVDS cable in an imac a1418-emc3069

The machine fires up with the famous apple chime.

I have 3 LEDs shining bright and the 4th is on but dim.

Any advice? Let me know if there is anymore information I can provide to assist thank you

Can you explain why you replaced the video cable (FYI this is a eDP cable)

I was upgrading the RAM -- Its a 60 pin cable. The end of the orgiginal cable had to some damage to it. The sockets dont seem to be damaged. I purchased two identical cables without a positive attempt.

Ive done this a few times and havent ran into this issue before.

Did you follow this guide and use the special cutter tool?

I did. The breakdown and Reassembly went without issue. Had Black Screen with new RAM.

Removed new and reinstalled the original RAM - black screen.
