What is this white dust like substance under LCD glass?

I am installing some new LCD's on 2 MacBook 13" 2012 models, both had this brown smear on the display instead of any proper image, I guess it is either mold or remnants of the adhesive? This stuff is literally everywhere inside around the edges.... would this be responsible for these 'bad screens'? Also the best way to clean so I can reuse the shell..... 99% alcohol would be my choice....

There shouldn’t be any dust or dirt within the display assembly. Are you sure one of the parts inside hasn’t degraded?

I have noticed this numerous times before, seems to be 1 out of every 2 or 3 is like this... weird white dust like stuff..... maybe the climate here is to blame hot and humid everyday. Nothing I noticed has fallen apart or the like. It is around this inner frame, more so on the inner edge of it.....
