The Nintendo DSi is the third iteration in the Nintendo DS line, and made its debut in Japan in late 2008.

My DSI orange blinking light will not go away.

My Nintendo DSI has a orange blinking light (presumed because of dead battery) when i plug it in the light will blink normally. then, when i put the battery in the light will delay then blink faster when i have the pins connected to the battery. is there anything else i should look at before i get a multimeter and test the voltage on the F1 and F2. yes i have bought another battery and that doesn't work either.

Hi!

The orange light blinking is mostly caused by a faulty battery or that the battery didn't seat correctly.

F1 and F2 are fuses and you can try a continuity test on them to test if they are okay. They prevent the DSi from turning on if one of them are faulty.

I think this is related to the battery connector on the motherboard, as another battery failed too.

Can you share some pictures with us regarding the motherboard?

Thanks!
