Sadly all of the M Series systems have soldered on RAM & Flash (storage) as such there are no upgrades possible

Not correct, you can source the raw chips from China, and if you and someone you know can do BGA soldering and lifting the old chips off, you can swap in the larger it's and then refresh with Apple Configure 2

Let be real here! This is not a "Do it your self first time job" and it takes even a bit more than soldering chips! While there are techs with the tools and skills to do this it's not something 90% of the population visiting here is able to do. And one needs access to a second system to run Configure 2 from.
