Battery with an x through it
Hi there,
I have an old MacBook I’m trying to get up and running. It will power on with the charger plugged in but won’t actually charge. The battery symbol has an X through it at the top right. I figured it would need a new battery but after reading some forums here I’m wondering if maybe it’s a connector on the board itself instead.
I attached a picture of coconut battery for reference. Seems like the battery isn’t communicating any information at all.
Thanks for the help!
