I don’t think that’s possible as the physical connector is not the same between the USB-C and lightning port as well as the protocols running within the connector is very different.
The physical USB-C interface is what Apple used with its ThunderBolt-3/USB-C-4 interfaces. Different models still use different parts as Apple loves changing things under the hood.
While this won’t fix the damaged USB-C port on you iPad. This might offer a way to minimize the damage Apple USB-C to Lightning Adapter
Are you working in dusty/wet areas?you might want to get a USC-C silicone port plug to protect the iPads port.
