My screen randomly turns blank

It goes totally blank and i sometimes turns on by refreshing graphics card or shutting down and turning it back on i don't know why this happens pls help me it happens almost daily

Your driver files may be corrupt.

  1. Download the latest nvidia driver from their website, and place it somewhere easy to get to.
  2. Record any custom display settings, so you can put them back after (would recommend manually recreating, as the config files could be corrupt too)
  3. Uninstall all the nvidia drivers, and remove all configuration data
  4. Reboot
  5. Make sure all the drivers including the directories in the program files (both of them), and programdata are removed
  6. Install the new driver, select custom install, and make sure the remove customization is checked.

This may resolve your issue.

Uninstalling graphics driver shouldn't affect your user data in any way. The only thing which might be affected is the driver customizations.

Inside C:\Perogram Files (x86)\, C:\Program Files\, C:\ProgramData\, look for folders which contain "NVidia". Also look in the Common Files directory for them. They would be the remnants of the driver, and be safe to remove.
