Battery and Power Adapter Replacements

Hello all. My question is, is it worth spending the money to replace my 2012 MacBook dead battery and power adapter?

An estimate which would cost nearly $200 to replace both. TIA!

I still use my 2012 MacBook Pro for surfing and watching YouTube’s. It’s more that capable for many less intensive things even looking though pictures or writing emails.

So depending on your needs it’s still worth it as a useful system.

@ked78660 that is a question that only you can answer. We do not know what you use your computer for. $200 to keep a decent computer going is actually pretty reasonable. Think about it this way. What can you get for $200 that is better than the computer you have? Not much, right? My suggestion would be to go for it!

Where in the world are you? If you want original apple parts then sure they are expensive, You can get a battery and a charger (3rd Party but work fine) for around $50.... Try https://www.lazada.com.ph/#? or https://shopee.ph/ see if they allow an account.
