How can I tell if my microphone is connected properly?

I just replaced my battery using the iFixit guide and everything is working right except the microphone. It still shows up under system settings>sound, but is that indicative of a good connection? Is there another way to test the cable integrity? It may have been damaged during the repair so just trying to determine if that's the case, any input would be greatly appreciated!

Try using Siri, does that work?

The mic doesn’t get any input, so Siri, zoom, dictation, etc. aren't showing anything.

@kevinwenge60680 - OK, then the mics connection or the DAC logic has an issue.

Here’s the microphone cable assembly MacBook Pro 15" Microphone (16-19)
