Hey guys,
I tried to replace my display cause I accidentally damaged it. While replacing the display, I noticed that there was more internal damage than just the outer display. My iPad won't boot anymore. The backlight isn't working and there is no image at all. While starting the iPad, there is a short sound like a coil, probably from the burned part that I marked. Any ideas?

It looks like you Unfortunately neglected to disconnect the battery, very possible you shorted the display ic (forgetting the proper name for the part)
I'm my experience you can purchase a new motherboard from aliexpress as a board repair of that caliber would likely cost more than a replacement.
Always ensure to unplug the battery on repairs as well as plugging it in last when possible.

I changed the battery, it probably accidentally touched the battery while putting it back in. A repair apparently costs 150€ in one of my local shops, new mainboard costs 400€.
I'm glad to hear that local shop can repair it for a solid price!
