Change topcase and keep battery

I have some issues with my keyboard and am planning to change the topcase.

The battery is still at 98% health, is it feasible to swap it to the new case or the glue will prevent a clean removal?

Planning ahead for a future battery swap, are the three glue stripes necessary? Or is there a way to make my life easier down the line while keeping the battery held in place properly?

First off this series uses a strong adhesive to hold the battery cells so your skills and using a heat gun and the solvent to soften and break the bond without damaging the battery in the process.

The battery its self can't be distorted otherwise you weaken it, think of a layer cake which is using a stiff cake so if you press on one side the icing thins down.

Here as you lift the battery you can create the same effect thinning down the electrolyte between the sheets which can reduce its effectiveness or short it out. So if you pull on it to hard you will damage it.

When I replace the battery I always use two 3M Command strips (the industrial version) but the OTC product Command Large Refill Strips will also work 6 strips is what I would use here (2 per cell - 3 cells).

I finally got around to replacing my topcase. I did remove the battery as I needed to access some component behind it for the new topcase. However, as mentioned in the asnwer, it is difficult (and most likely a lengthy process) to do without damaging the battery.

As I had limited time to repair (evening repair, laptop needed the next day) and a spare battery already on hand, I went ahead and forced it out.
