Headphone port removal and replacement

Hey does anyone have a video on how to remove and reinstall the headphone jack, I can see 4 solder points around it but my iron gets too close and just melt the plastics, same with the hot air gun. Any suggestions, thanks

Flux it, use "Low Melt" solder, and lower the temp on the iron. After a little time the port/jack should just fall out. Wick away the old solder, solder in the new jack using 60/40 leaded solder.

Wait......by "melts the plastics" do you mean the controller shell?? O_o

Always remove the board from the shell before hand. :)

Hey thanks for the response. Not not the shell, I take the board completely out, I meant the headphone port plastic itself. I will try what you said. Thanks.
