audio jack not working

repairing the audio jack - what do i have to remove to access and repair the audio jack. It no longer provides an audio signal to headphones plugged into it.

I would just get a USB-A DAC adapter like CableCreation USB Audio Adapter as replacing the iMac headphone port is a lot of work as you need to take the logic board out to gain access to the port which is glued to the case so you can get a heat gun to it to soften the glue.
