@tomakers I just have a feeling here......try an original ink cartridge. I think this is one of those models that utilized blackmailing by parts serialization. Not using original overpriced HP cartridges=not allowed to function anymore!

It's probably the 3rd party cart. HP has had the DS problem since like ~2017, but the integrated head carts can't be chip swapped like the toner based machines and split printhead models.

It just reads empty, and this predates HP+. If it was HP+ era I may suspect it was enabled. About the only thing they accomplished with HP+ and HP DS is lost loyal customers and only kept the Walmart customers; anyone with a brain has moved on, myself included. I know once I seen how awful HP DS is (they literally block print operation with a chip issue on the lasers and assume counterfit) that was truly it for me.
