@lauren71714 i am wondering if this "and now it’s dead" mean there is no sign of life. If so I would start with the power supply
Make sure that it:
(1) The AC input power supply described on the rating plate of the machine should be within ±10% of the rated voltage.
(2) The AC input power supply is within the regulated value.
(3) The cables and harnesses are connected correctly.
(4) The fuses are not blown
To determine if this is a power board issue, we would need to see what it looks like in your printer That way we can see what you see. Adding images to an existing question The power supply is a low voltage power supply assembly and can be replaced separately.
Printers are a different beast altogether and never straight forward :-) You can download the service manual for your printer from the bottom of this page Brother Printer Let us know what you find out.
While you work on your printer, take lots of pictures. Once you are done with it, take those pictures and create a guide for iFixit. That will help the next person that has the same problem as you do. It's easy and fun to create these guides. https://ifixit.com/Guide/new The iFixit community will appreciate this.
