@lauren71714 i am wondering if this "and now it’s dead" mean there is no sign of life. If so I would start with the power supply
Make sure that it:
(1) The AC input power supply described on the rating plate of the machine should be within ±10% of the rated voltage.[br]
(2) The AC input power supply is within the regulated value.[br]
(3) The cables and harnesses are connected correctly.[br]
(4) The fuses are not blown
To determine if this is a power board issue, we would need to see what it looks like in your printer That way we can see what you see. [guide|21499] The power supply is a low voltage power supply assembly and can be replaced separately.
Printers are a different beast altogether and never straight forward :-) You can download the service manual for your printer from the bottom of this page [[Topic:Brother Printer]] Let us know what you find out.
While you work on your printer, take lots of pictures. Once you are done with it, take those pictures and create a guide for iFixit. That will help the next person that has the same problem as you do. It's easy and fun to create these guides. https://ifixit.com/Guide/new The iFixit community will appreciate this.
