Hi @jasonhiga
Seems as though the battery in the player is faulty or there's a loose internal connection somewhere.
Since it is new, contact the seller through Ebay, about the problem and ask for a replacement or a refund.
If they don't answer or refuse, then escalate the problem to Ebay to get your money back. It's always better to try the seller first as then Ebay can see that you tried to get it resolved with the seller to no avail.
You may be able to fix it by replacing the battery by opening it up (there's a small screw in the cap at one end) to find the battery model number printed on the battery or check if there's any faulty connections etc, but I suggest that you initially don't do this as it will void any guarantee/warranty claim.
Chances are the seller will either send a replacement without asking for a return of the faulty unit or you'll get a refund (one way or the other) and so still get to keep the faulty unit which you can then try to repair.
