An android flip phone manufactured by the defunct Bullitt Group. It was produced under the CAT phones series, licensed under the Caterpillar Inc branding, in 2021. It is alternatively known as the CAT S22.

Pogo connection positive / negative side

I want to 3D print a charging cradle for my CAT S22 FLIP phone. I can't seem to find any information online as to which side of the pogo connection is positive and which side is negative. If anyone out there knows the answer, please let me know. Thank you in advance.

P. S. If you need photos of the phone and the cable that I plan to use, let me know and I will send them. Thank you.

Will you be posting the result anywhere when you are finished? I am also wanting to print a charging dock and would love to see what you come up with

Yes I will be posting an update. I'm currently waiting for the charging cable to arrive. And a friend is going to let me borrow his multimeter so that I can figure out which side is positive / negative. I still can't believe that CAT never made a drop in charger!! Why have the connections there if you're NOT going to offer a charging cradle?? And their online "chat" feature... They REFUSE to answer the question on which side is positive / negative!! So much for their "customer service"!!!!!

Hi Scott

Did you contact "bullet", the producer of the CAT phones?

Any way I would like to own 2 or 3 cradels too. Can't print my self though...

If you had former information that might help me, please let me know.

I 'm on the mail list since today

Hello! Bit of a long shot, but I wonder if those contacts will be tied directly to the normal charger connections, you could try to measure them with a multimeter while the phone is on charge! @scottantho50551

Looking at the phone from the rear, with the pogo pins at the bottom, the positive terminal is on the left. Connect your charger positive to positive, negative to negative. The pins are 8mm apart.

Confirmed, + on left/ - on right and measured (while charging) voltage 5.2V DC So it's probably directly connected to the side USB (C) plug on the phone. Best on your project. Dr. Bob ;-)
