Why is my laptop screen on but so dim I can barely see it?
Just finished a long road trip across country and unfortunately left my laptop in my backpack in the back of the pickup truck lying down. Went over a lot of big bumps and bad roads and when I took it out to turn it on, it powered on ok but the screen wasn't displaying correctly. When I looked closer, I could see that the screen was on but so faint and dim I could barely see it. Tried adjusting the brightness but it was already at max and made no difference. There is no visible cracks or damage to the screen or the rest of the laptop. The laptop was a refurbished one purchased on Amazon maybe a year ago and have had no issues since then.
Is this an instance where possibly a connection to the backlight has come loose due to the jostling and bumps on the ride, or is there possibly damage to the screen itself that may mean a full replacement?
Just trying to gauge what I'm dealing with before I start opening it up. Thanks in advance for any answers.
