My keyboard and trackpad aren’t being recognized

Guys I replaced the track pad and it’s completely in and flush.

All of the connections are back in neatly but now keyboard and trackpad aren’t being recognized by my logic board.

But prior to replacing they were. Why is this ?

Sounds like the trackpad cable which carries both the keyboard and trackpad data to the logic board wasn’t seated fully or is damaged. Here’s the replacement MacBook Air 13" (Mid 2011-Mid 2012) Trackpad Cable

And what if this doesn’t fix it ?

@laroyfitchjr - I would then suspect you got a bad trackpad as the trackpad carrie’s both data signals to the logic board via the cable.
