Replaced battery, everything worked, then keyboard stopped working
So I replaced my battery (first time I got a bad battery and there was no battery status meter in the upper right... and Coconut battery wouldn't even report it - said "not available" then Ifixit was good on sending another battery and so I did the repair again...getting good at it now...) and everything was looking good when I booted up. Keyboard functioned. Track pad functioned. Coconut battery read the battery. The battery status was reading out.
So then, I was doing the battery calibration... in the phase of using the device until it shuts down... and I had put it into sleep to transport it...
And then opened it again...
And in the login screen, the keyboard no longer functions. (except the power on/off button... which maybe operates on a different setting?)
I went in and reset the keyboard data cable... found in step 33 here (MacBook Pro 15" Retina Display Mid 2015 Logic Board Replacement)
It didn't improve anything...
Also when I press the power button to turn off the computer, it's a little glitchy... maybe due to the keyboard connection?? There is a strange flashing in and out of the screen for a second - and some garbled imagery for a very very brief flash... then it shuts off.
So what's the story here? What's going on with my poor macbook pro 15" mid 2015 retina? How can I get it running and happy soon?
