Can I take a A1708 Logic Board out and put in the body of a A1706

I have a A1706 (Four Thunderbolt Ports + Touch Bar) with a dead logic and I also have a A1708 (2 thunderbolts ports) with flexgate display... can I put my working A1708 Logic inside my a1706 Body to use the good display and Touch Bar or no?

I think you need to go the other way around sliding the working display over to the the system with the damaged display.

You really can’t transfer the logic board as the Fn models USB ports are part of the logic board and at a slightly different location. And there is no means to connect the TouchID and TouchBar. Besides you would end up with two holes!

Well.. the iFixit part lists both series so I guess it’s possible to just swap the display over! MacBook Pro 13" Retina (Late 2016-2017) Display Assembly
