How to remove the internal SSD?

The internal SSD is not using the normal SATA connection, I have the backplate off. There are rubber corners around the SSD too.

You should be able to just slide it out as shown in the attached picture. After you pull it out, you may find that the drive really is a SATA drive, just connected in a wonky connector. I was taking apart a laptop the other day that had a ribbon cable attached to an adapter that attached to a SATA connector on the drive. Just give it a go and let us know how it goes.
