A2338 MacBook Pro Trackpad/Keyboard/Battery Failure.
my cat knocked a drink onto my mac causing the trackpad to stop working. In the process of repairing the damage, I also damaged the battery ribbon cable port.
I bought a new battery online along side, a new ribbon, cable and new trackpad, but I’m pretty sure ifixit sent me the wrong battery. Can someone verify this for me?
included photos I was sent via email versus what I was actually sent. I also included pictures of the damage that I was talking about.
My keyboard has stopped working since i’ve installed said battery.

Update (05/22/23)
@danj First off, thank you for taking time out of what i’m sure is a very busy day to help me with this. My academic career is on here and it’s been very difficult to find someone who’s willing to work 1:1 to fix this.
This is 1a of battery cable
This is 1b of battery cable
This is both OEM and iFixit trackpad
This is the OEM trackpad up close. If this might be salvageable, i’d appreciate it.
This is the other side of the trackpad cable ifixit sent to me.
This is the mobo trackpad port
This is the battery cable fully connected
I try to be as detailed as I can with photos, so please let me know if I missed anything.
Update (05/26/23)
I’m still in need of assistance.

Your image of the part implies this part MacBook Pro 13" (A2159, A2289, A2338) Battery which is the correct battery for this system.
The parts A2171 identifier is the batteries not the system is that the confusion?

@xoblueberries - I see the battery cable connector latch is present. But where’s the cable that needs to be inserted?
The trackpad cable appears to be inserted I can’t tell if it’s fully and squarely installed.

Also, does not boot without a jumpstart from charger.

@danj i would upload a video, but nothing is responsive other than the touch bar. I’ve attempted a couple of time now and am
not sure what to do now.

@xoblueberries - No need of a video, just run the onboard diagnostics as I outlined in my Answer update.
