Why is my Wi-Fi not working?

I tired to reset the pram and smc and none of that worked and I downloaded and new version of macOS Big Sur can someone tell me what’s going on with the Wi-Fi?

Do you see the WiFI symbol in the top right of your menu bar? If you do click on it a drop down list should show up do you see a listing? Do you see your WiFI access point (AP) listed? Select it you may need to enter your WiFI access password.

There was no listing of any wifi networks and no access point and when I tried to open wireless diagnostics is would not open also wifi doesn’t show up anywhere in system preferences what should I do?

@Jia Liu - This series uses an onboard chip for both Bluetooth & WiFI.

At this point it’s likely it’s damaged! This would require someone with micro-soldering skills and access to the needed parts. Or, just replace the logic board. Do keep in mind the power/TouchID button is married to the logic board, you can’t mix them up!
