rca model w101sa23 makes a clicking noise when charging
When I am charging my device I hear a click click click sound and I can not power on this device

Check that the charger is supplying 5V DC at the charger's output plug between the inner and outer conductors.

It should have 5 volts I’m assuming since I have the same issue currently
I have the same issue as well.
I have found 3 cases of this happening (including myself) I think it may be a bad component on the board shorting out but I’m not sure however I don’t think it’s an easy fix it’s definitely not as simple as a bad charger or something that can’t be replaced without a good soldering iron the only lead I currently have is one of the probe pins on the back seemingly charges up to around 1.1-1.3 volts then “click” zero volts and then it repeats the cycle there is an audible clicking sound that can be heard from the motherboard even with everything unplugged (including the speaker) nothing on the board gets warm or hot to the touch and there is no burning smell even after several minutes it does this regardless of using the barrel jack connector or micro-usb it also happens to only charge the battery at around 1.2-1.4 volts which is around the point where the probe pin charges to before it clicks even though the battery has a nominal voltage of 3.7 if someone has any questions or idea please ask I will revisit this

My only does it with the micro USB port the reason I think is bad battery has anyone tried to get a new battery for it?
