Why does the drill not hammer?

Bosch Hammer Drill HD18-2 (2016)

The Bosch Hammer Drill model (HD18-2) was released in 2016. The Hammer drill has an 8.5 amp motor so you can drill on wood, metal, and even concrete.

The motor runs fine. The drill started to slip while on the hammer setting. It does not hammer now.
