Mac super slow, a few pieces that are not attached inside found.

These three pieces are not attached and I was wondering if A: they’re the reason the Mac is nearly unusable as it has super high kernel task, and B: if it’s possible to reattach them

Caner - I've got some bad news ;-{ The IC pads appear to have the remnants of the logic board copper traces. So this will need someone with the skills to patch the lines.

The last time I saw this exact same issue someone had used to long a knife to lift the bottom cover off.

iFixit went to great pains to outline the steps and needed tools to lift the bottom cover off MacBook Pro 13" Touch Bar 2017 Lower Case Replacement as its very easy to damage the logic board.

If U5860 is faulty or has been nudged I would expect the device to show your symptoms. They can be easily soldered back on. I would refer to the below answers as we don’t know what equipment or experience you have as Dan has mentioned you might need to run a trace or two if any of the pads have been damaged.

Caner Saka to rule anything else out, just post an image of YOUR board and let's see what this all looks like.

Looks like the outer solder pads are torn off but runnig a few traces should still keep it going for years :-) Do you solder or anybody around you have the right experience to do so? If not and depending on your location, you may need to send this out to get it fixed.

Caner Saka just for completion sake. If the parts that are loose are indeed from the area you marked then those are as follows.

U5860 is a TMP461 QFN temp sensor

C9340 is a 22µF 10V 20% capacitor in a 0603 package

C9344 is a 22µF 10V 20% capacitor in a 0603 package

U5860 belongs to the Airflow Right circuitry and the capacitors are part of the Piccolo secondary PMIC circuit.

These are relatively straight forward resoldered by anybody with some experience with a hot air rework station.

@oldturkey03, you're awesome as always. Thanks for the info!

For the record, the thermal sensor is probably going to be responsible for the super slowness. The Capacitors are nice to have, but are often not mandatory for function. Just might have more electrical “noise” on that line,

MacBooks don’t like when they can’t talk to their thermal sensors and go into this super slow mode out of protection. Rather assume the missing sensor is literally on fire than not care that it’s missing.

I would consider sending this one in to a board level repair shop. You can get quotes first.

I have to agree with @mayer on this one. Without seeing a picture of the place where the parts were previously attached it's impossible to judge how easily they're going to go back on.

That being said, if the pads are intact, the resistors are actually something I would be tempted to tackle with my soldering iron, but that's only if the two resistors are the same value or I knew for sure which one goes where.

The IC is a different story, though; that one probably has to be soldered on with a heat gun, something I do not have nearly enough experience with to attempt.

So unless you have mad soldering skills, probably best to take it to a professional in this case.
