Hose not snapping into place

My Hoover Windtunnel 72400 hose will not snap into place anymore. This makes it extremely difficult when trying to vacuum because the handle pulls out when you pull the vacuum towards you. How do you fix this specific problem. The suction on the vacuum is fine.

I have the same problem the tiny retention stud is broken and handle of tube swivels and comes out.

Did you ever get the problem solved? Mine has same issue, it's like a metal brad/button that holds the pole in place. Vacuum works fine, just a pain...duct tape only holds for so long 😂

Make sure the button is snapping into place.

The part you described is not the problem. It's the long part of the hose that goes into the vacuum that won't click into place anymore. I could send you a video to show what I mean.

A couple of photos should help.
