Black screen, but can still access the main IOS screen.

Like i said in the title, the problem I’m having with my IPad Air 2 is that when I turn it off for a bit more than 10 seconds and power back on, the screen is completely black, even with charge, ( example: YouTube video) but the good thing is that the backlight turns on and I can access the main IOS screen. Not rebooting or anything else solved the problem. (A similar thing happened to my grandmother but her module was a IPad Pro(I’m not entirely sure)). My suspicion is that it’s something to do with a connector to the screen being loose. But one solution is to turn it on and then off repeatedly (and that’s just too annoying, I’ve spend at least 5 minutes doing that to SOME success). So please, if anyone out there can figure out this problem, I would be very pleased to take your advice. (P.S I don’t have a local Apple repair shop, the nearest one is in Tennessee.)

We have seen this before and it is typically either that one of the display connectors came loose or the screen is defective/damaged. Checking the connections or replacing the screen should resolve.
