iPhone SE 2020 battery replacement “non-genuine ” message

Hi, I want to change an original iPhone SE 2020 battery with an iFixit one. I’m wondering if I’d get a “non-genuine battery” message like the iPhone 11. Someone knows if I’ll get this message after a battery replacement? Thanks in advance!

is it a popup like "Touch ID is unavailable" or is it a persistent message that makes using the phone difficult?

is there a fix for this?

is the message permanent and a hard reset changed nothing? (that’s my experience)

The message is not permanent, its very obvious the first two weeks, then it gets tucked away into SETTINGS/GENERAL/ABOUT after that. if you replace the battery with a genuine apple battery, you can run the included 'repair' in iOS 18 and it will remove the message. if your good with tools, and you changed the battery on your own, you can find snap on tech that can make the battery seem genuine. some of these snap on flex things will require you to remove the connector from the original battery and put that on the new one. youll find videos online about it

To stop the genuine message, either update to latest software AND use an apple original battery (pricey), or get a battery with extended tabs and spot weld it to original battery's bms (risky)
