EMC 2742 Which CPU?

Hey guys,

I just got an iMac from Late 2013 with the i5-4570S and a GT750.

I planned on swapping the internal 1TB HDD with a SanDisk Ultra 3D SSD 1TB and thought about a CPU and RAM upgrade.

Which CPUs will work with Monterey or at least Big Sur?

i7-4470s from the same model? Or can I install something much newer and more efficient?

Are the specific iMac CPUs that I should use?

Sorry the CPU in this series is soldered onto the logic board, as such its not upgradable.

Hey, it’s actually not as I have the EMC 2742. Just swapped the internal drive today and made some pics. You can replace everything except the GT750M.
