Is a replacement display flex cable available anywhere?

My wife’s series 5 (17 months old) recently began having intermittent display black outs. The Apple repair cost is as much as a new watch so I decided to look around inside. There is corrosion on the flex cable where it moves across the battery that I believe is the only issue. I would like to replace the battery (I assume a leak/failure caused corrosion) and the display flex cable but I can’t locate the cable.

Any ideas on where a replacement flex cable might be found? Thank you.

While a replacement flex cable is available, it’s very difficult to replace because it’s soldered on, right on top of a very sensitive display. Even a skilled microsoldering tech could damage the OLED panel. On top of that, it sounds like the device has liquid damage. So even if you do successfully replace the flex cable, the display may have already been damaged by the shorts caused by the corrosion. I would start by cleaning the corroded connectors with rubbing alcohol and a toothbrush.
