iMac intel 21.5 EMC 2638

I have a question, I am putting together an iMac late 2013 by parts, I would like to know if just putting the name of the part of the iMac and then putting "A1418" would be all compatible

for example

I have this board and this Power, I really don't know if they are compatible even though they say they are "A1418"

I am buying them on Ebay

Apple iMac Late 2013 21.5 "2.7 i5-4570R Iris A1418 Logic Board 820-3588-A

I would like you to give me some kind of advice if I am doing it wrong

The better approach is to review major parts sellers like TheBookYard - Late 2013 21.5” iMac parts

If you can locate a parts blowup like this one which I have for the late 2012 which uses the same parts as the early 2013 model, sadly small parts and sundry items are not listed.

Then buy the part by its part number.

I’ll warn you Amazon & eBay market places aren’t the best place to pick up good parts, often you get the wrong one or its bad. To add to it some won’t offer returns so you end up having to buy the part still again.

Frankly, I recommend locating a dead system and then replace the needed parts, in the long run it will be cheaper! Look at local swap shops and local papers and web sites.

@elcheca1 - I've not made a study of each at that level to tell you. The best thing is to review the parts listings from The BookYard. I posted to the 2013 listing look to the left column to select the 2012 model and compare the parts one by one.

Maybe all you need is a new logic board with the better CPU and with the PCI interface to add in a blade SSD.

I bought a Board "2.7 i5-4570R Iris A1418 Logic 820-3588-A" I don't know if I could put it on my iMac Late 2012 I don't know if it would work

I'm thinking I kept buying the other parts so I have 2 iMacs, I just need the case and other things
