The March 2015 update of Apple's 13" MacBook Air features fifth generation Intel Core i5 and i7 processors, resulting in slightly increased performance and battery life.

Battery Service Recommend at 260 cicle. Also random percentage change

So as described in the screenshot i have attached. Is this even possible? Coconut app says eveything is fine, which i’m pretty sure it actually is, but stupid mac says battery service. Mac shuts down whenever he wants(it can be at 70%, at 40%, etc), and also jumps from 70% to 24% or from 30% to 70%. It it annoying. I tried SMC PRAM and every possible method including recalibrating the battery. It anyone has a solution it would be a life savios. Probably not gonna buy any Apple products in the future as i read a lot of posts of guys sayng their brand new macs do the same.

The issue in your case is the age of the battery! Batteries wear out from cycles and age. Here your battery is the original one that your system had in it when you bought it 2015/early 2016.

So just like the low tire warning you get in your car you have to consider your usage. Are you dependent on the battery or you tending to use your system mostly tethered to a charger?

Is the battery swelling or running hot when it shouldn't? Then I would replace it sooner

Reference: To monitor your temp I would install this app TG Pro
