Most SAAS apps require HTML 5 or newer.
The problem you are likely facing it the limits of the OS your system currently has on it. The highest OS-X this series can support is El Capitan (OS X 10.11.6) the release of Safari in that release is not fully compliant. Here’s a good reference HTML5TEST - How well does your browser support html5?
You’ll likely need to look on Apples updates to see what you can install for a newer version of Safari or find a web browser which will run under El Capitan that offers what your cloud based SAAS apps need.
As far as the hardware this systems RAM is limited to 8 GB so if your system only has 4.0 in it I would upgrade it to get the best performance. Your HDD is likely on its last legs so it does make sense to upgrade it as well. Your choices for drives is a bit limited as the SATA interface in your system is limited to SATA II (3.0 Gb/s) most drives available today have moved on the the higher SATA (6.0 Gb/s) spec. I would go with this drive: Samsung 870 EVO SSD Note the Interface line in the spec sheet we see this: “SATA 6 Gb/s Interface, compatible with SATA 3 Gb/s & 1.5 interfaces” Make sure which ever drive you get clearly lists SATA 3 Gb/s. The Samsung drive is one of the few which can match to your systems data I/O (auto-sense).
