Does anyone know if it’s using only 8GB or just showing it

I updated it to 16GB and it runs much better no problems. The only thing is it only show 8GB on board. Does anyone know if it’s using only 8GB or just showing it and using the 16? Thanks

You don't say if you used a matching pair of 8GB DDR3 1600 MHz or one 16GB.

@aactech - Likely using a 16 GB SO-DIMM Vs two 8 GB SO-DIMMs which is what is required as the high order lines are not present in the socket to support larger SO-DIMMs (as well as the PCH)
