Bought this desktop local, but found the following issue:

It always hang or crashed when streaming 4K video over youtube, change the setting to 1080p seems OK, I understand there is no discrete GPU equipped on this desktop (only the intel onboard one), so, I was wondering if the issue is due to lack of sufficient GPU equipped or its hardware failure? Can anyone give any clue?

Thanks,

I think you're hitting a thermal issue! I would install a good thermal monitoring app like this one TG Pro I think its the best and not very expensive if you get the full version. Here we only need the trial level.

Start off taking a snapshot of the main window (adjust the size so all of the sensors are visible in one window (no slider on the right) when you are not running anything (baseline), now do another when you are watching a 1080p Youtube vid and then one more watching a 4K vid. Make sure you’ve labeled them and post them here for us to see Adding images to an existing question

@lovecd - Ouch! Missing the lower sensors in the listing ;-{

Can you stretch the window making it longer so the most bottom sensor is visible (use the slide on the right to move the window) There is a point you can grow the window the slide will disappear! Thats the pointy you've got all the sensors listed!

It does look like your fan is messed up as we don't see any bar within the graph 21.5" iMac Fan (15/17/19), Apple P/N 923-00563

@lovecd - Camera shot Vs Screenshot are a bit different (now you have the how water marks cut off on the right,

But for now lets just get the fan replaced.

Hi Dan, yeah, I can't do screenshot for 4k video as the system is hang there, so, have to use camera to capture the screen. by the way, does the fan suppose to run at higher speed automatically in order to keep the cpu and other component's temp below certain degrees?
