A1708 / EMC 2978 — Released October 2016, this entry-level MacBook Pro retains its traditional function keys (as opposed to the OLED Touch Bar). The function key version packs an Intel Core i5 and two Thunderbolt 3 ports.

MacBook Pro 13 2016 light bleed

Just want to share my CRAZY story regarding those 2016 models.

I got it nearly NEW - yes - 2016 but NEW - DriveDX app reports SSD been powered just 72 hours - YES - just 72 hours and MacBook developed “light bleed”

My point is…… it is NOT happening because opening lid more than 40 degree (which I never even done!) It is just……… “TICKING BOMB” - it is just dying because…… it HAS TO die.

There are a few extended warranties on this system which I would take advantage of. But your time is short!

As an example 13-inch MacBook Pro Display Backlight Service Program

I had chat with Apple and they saw it - yes - I will get new screen - and CORRECT - I got time till........ Fall this year.

My point was - MacBook is virtually NEW (used 72 hours) - and display still DIES (I meant - has light bleed)

It would have been helpful to have seen the picture.

Any ways…. Apple has you covered!

At least you got a freebee! If you hadn’t posted here would you have known of the extended warranty? It would have cost you a bit of coin needlessly!
