I have been asked to recover photos and video from an iPhone 3G that has been left for a long period uncharged and will not power up. I intend to get a replacement battery from you but what are the chances of the photos and videos still being recoverable once the battery is replaced. The content should all still be there, just be careful once you have changed the battery and it should turn on. Once you plug the phone into the computer, iTunes may recognize it as a new/restore phone and try to sync it. Get a program like Copypod or similar which will allow you to remove the content of the phone without syncing etc. and turn auto sync in iTunes OFF. Rhe other thing I would try first is to charge the battery with an AC wallcharger. It is possible that your battery is below the threshold for a USB charger to charge it. Good Luck

I have tried to look for a good link for CopyPod, some sites say it has been renamed which I tend to mistrust and some talk about newer versions being available, can you suggest the version I need and a link to a valid site to get it from? Many thanks for the help, Phil B
Check on here http://www.geekpolice.net/t18323-itunes-... and try the sharepod program....or any of the others. They should manage to remove your content without difficulty.
