Why is my monitor making a vibration noise?

Hi, my thunderbolt display recently started making a noise that sounds like something is vibrating, kind of like a really quiet jackhammer. It comes and goes every couple seconds, and stops when I turn it off. I’ve seen other people having issues with their monitors making buzzing noises which is definitely not what this is. Any idea? Thanks

Added a video. Not sure how much help it’ll be given the quality and it may be difficult to distinguish between the static and the vibrating noise from the monitor, but hopefully it helps some.

I think you are encountering inductor or transformer whine. Can you post a clear recording of it so we can hear it Adding images to an existing question

Hey Dan, I added a video. Unfortunately my phone picked up a lot of static noise (AC was off too), but hopefully you can some of the vibrating noise.

@zdixon13 - Well the good news its not inductor whine! Your fan blade is banging! Time to open the system and clean the dust out and you may need a new fan unit!
