Strange illuminations at the edge of the display

Hi everyone!

This is my first post here so I hope I’m doing well.

To my problem, my Apple Thunderbolt display 27" got out of the blue these strange lights on the left edge of the display and also a small orange line on the very outside. It can not be due to the connected macbook pro, this problem also occurs with a different scaling.

Have you had any experience with such a problem or what do you think is the problem, the blacklight or the panel itself?

For more pictures, just tell me.

Thanks in advance for your help!

The displays T-CON logic capacitors have degraded so the scan is skewed. I would live with it as getting a new screen is expensive! Here’s a recycled unit Thunderbolt display assembly, Apple P/N 661-6028, LM270WQ1 (SD)(B3)

Hi Dan! Thanks for your answer. So there is no other chance to fix the existing display?

@kingjohnvii - Needs brain surgery :-{

Or, place a strip of black tape over the area so you're not distracted.
