Can I install Mojave on my Samsung EVO 860 SSD?

Is it OK to upgrade to Mojave with a Samsung SSD EVO 860 in MacBook Pro Late 2011 right now?

and if its not possible, which latest OS I can update to? my Macbook Pro late 2011 currently running EI captain

Technically High Sierra (10.13.x) is the highest supported macOS your system can support.

Frankly, Sierra (10.12.x) is what I recommend for people who have SATA based systems as High Sierra introduced APFS which is a very chatty file system dialog. The SATA interface doesn’t have the deeper buffers the PCIe interface offers.
