How do I get a found phone back to its owner?
Last year I found an iphone on the side of the road, I charged the battery and from the cover image it is obvious this phone belongs to a Mom with children. It is probably filled with photos of her kids and I’m sure she would like it back.
The real problem is the provider Rogers has done everything they can to obstruct me trying to return this phone. I’m not looking for a reward or anything, I have even tried to give the phone to Rogers so they can contact her but no luck.
For the first 3 months after finding it I kept the phone charged an powered up hoping she had some kind of tracking app.
Looking for some advice on how to proceed, I would hate to see it sit in some lost and found box until it gets thrown in the garbage.
Thanks

So when you power it on there is no message saying call if found or whatever? Just the regular log-in screen?
Without being able to login to the device to see the owner's personal info not sure what you can do.
Maybe contact Apple Support to see if they could help?
Post something on Facebook, date and location where you found it a picture of the phone, and login screen and wait and see what happens.

I would say the no-help from Rogers Communications comes from strict identity theft, privacy protection for its customers.
