Apple Diagnostics Error PPT004 after iFixit battery swap

As the title says, I get this error when running the diagnostics (hold down D while booting up).

This is the description of the error:

“The battery requires service.

It is not functioning normally, though you may not notice a change in its behaviour or the amount of charge it holds. You can continue to use your battery before it’s checked, without harming your computer.”

Potentially related, the laptop randomly crashes and shuts down ever since the battery replacement - this has happened about 5 times in the past month and less than 5 times in the 5 years before that. First time was a couple of hours after replacement.
