The ice masker stopped making ice.

I have an LG LFX29576SW/00. The ice masker stopped making ice. If you hit the reset button, it dumps the ice and refills the tray. I bought a completely new ice maker module which includes the optical sensor. The new one does the same thing. I have no idea what is next except maybe replace the board.

William O. Make sure ice maker is turned on. It can take up to 48 hrs for it to produce ice. If the temperature at the i/m isn’t below 9*f it will not advance. Dirty coils underneath the refrigerator can raise the temperature above 9*f. Clean the coils at least once a year.

If the temperature is below 9*f and it cycled and filled, and it has been two days and your sure it is turned on, and still no ice, I’d say that you have a bad ice maker.

LadyTech, thank you for answering. The fridge temp is 35F and the freezer temp is -6F. Everything is clean. The fan under the fridge is running. Nothing had been changed when it stopped cycling. Just one day I went to get ice and it was empty. I have ordered another ice maker to see if the new one is bad. i tried calling LG to find out the correct test codes for the control board after seeing. I also wanted to confirm the control board part number. LG is useless. Customer Support finally connected me to Tech Support. He asked for an account number. I told him I am a consumer. He took my phone number and transferred me right back to Customer Support. Frustrating.
