My spacebar started occasionally failing and is now not working at all

I have a wireless mac keyboard where the space bar is no longer working. I have removed the key and checked if there is dirt near the sensors but nothing seems to be in there. With the key off, I click on the silcone button in the middle and it still doesn’t add a space. I’ve checked under the button and it looks clean. Any suggestions?

Sadly these keyboards are not really repairable. Time to park in in the closet and get a new one.

If you can try to get another exact same model so your now dead keyboard can be used for parts to fix your new one when it needs repairs.
