Is it posible to upgrade a MBA 13 2011 with a 2012 board?

Hello Everyone,

I've seen here in the guides that both models Macbook Air 13 (mid 2011) and Macbook air 13 (mid 2012) are very alike in their logic boards, same connectors, SSD, and screws.

Is it possible the upgrade?

Sadly, Apple altered the display assembly across these models.

  • 2011 - FaceTime camera (640 × 480
  • 2012 - 720p FaceTime HD camera

The signaling between them will mess you up.

If you had a Mid 2013 system you could have jumped all the way to 2017!
