Spilled water on laptop. Turns off immediately after turning on.

So my little brother spilled water on my MacBook. It’s a mid or late 2012 I’m not exactly sure. I dried it out as best I can by leaving it in a little teepee pose and now when I turn it on it’ll make the startup sound and the fan goes ham, but it immediately turns itself off. Anyway to fix it you guys think?

You’ll need to get your system to someone who can properly dry it out and fix any damage. For now you really need to disconnect the battery internally. I would speak with your parents for them to help you. Don’t take to long as the longer it sits wet the more damage is possible.

Ok well I actually opened it completely and dried the inside a bit more and was able to get it to stay on. The screen is in fact black though. As well as the keyboard. Any tips on that?

Sadly you system has sustained damage. You'll need to find someone with the skills and needed tools to diagnose the problem. You've clearly have damaged components which will need replacement.

Have you studied micros-electronics as well as worked on SMT devices?
